The town of Kaiserslautern is in a hilly landscape with a lot of forests so it was rather easy to find a secluded camping spot that was still very close to the train station. So I built up my tent, had a quick scare because I thought I lost one of the tent poles but then everything was fine. It was hard to fall asleep at night because it was very warm and there were many sounds from animals (probably boars) and the next morning it was really cold. But I guess that's just camping. The next day I took a rental car and did my door-to-door sales visits. Everybody I met was very friendly and welcoming probably thanks to the good weather.
